Kozaburo Kobayashi founded KOSÉ in 1946, pouring his limitless passion into making cosmetics to provide people with dreams and hope. The post-war period was a seller’s market due to a shortage of all sorts of goods, but the founder believed strongly in making quality products to truly satisfy each and every customer, and this spirit continues to live on in all facets of the business today from R&D, to manufacturing, to our sales system of offering detailed services for each distribution channel, to our distinct brand marketing system of perfectly matching brands with sales channels. This spirit is the basis of KOSÉ’s strength, and serves as our energy for future development.
KOSÉ’s new medium-term management plan calls for rebuilding the cosmetics business in Japan, reinforcing overseas operations, entering new business fields, and upgrading the Group’s overall strengths, to prepare the group for future growth.
KOSÉ’s sales continue to increase at a faster pace than the Japan’s cosmetics industry average, and we ask for the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders as we move forward with the same boundless enthusiasm for cosmetics that we have had since our Company’s beginning.
